"That's it. Time to die."

I've been back at work for three weeks now. For some reason, there is a children's movie playing on the TVs by toys constantly. I mean constantly, as in over and over and over and I watch the same damn movie three or four times a night until I can quote the stupid thing word for word. (The movie in question, by the way, is Aliens in the Attic.) At least, I can quote my favorite scene from the movie. But I won't bother you with that. (Part of it is the subject line on this post.)

In other news, I've been working my way steadily through the Honor Harrington and 1632 series. I just returned Ashes of Victory to the library, and I have War of Honor ready to pick up at the circulation desk. I've also started reserving the anthologies in both series (I prefer to read full novels first, then anthologies after, even if that messes up the publication order.) I recently finished every book in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar universe (completing what I started when I bought Arrows of the Queen at a yard sale for 50 cents).

Does anyone have any books they'd recommend? My favored genre is sci-fi/fantasy (in case you couldn't tell by the books I'm reading now). My guilty pleasure reading is historical romance. (Yeah, that's right. Wanna make something of it? *glares*)

Oh my god I love that series! I have read and re-read the first trilogy I don't even know how many times--the covers are actually starting to fall off. (Which is annoying, but so worth it.) I haven't read the second trilogy, though I do own the first book in it--I should go find it. :-)
