In other news, I tried out for a solo for our chorale's upcoming winter concert. I doubt I'll get it--there are women in the group who have trained with professionals, whilst I sang for one year in high school--but we'll see by the weekend.
Also, I got my Shakespeare midterm back today. I know I said I was supposed to get it back last week. I did--but I had to type it up because my handwriting is completely illegible. After the professor's scaring the crap out of us, saying that we did horribly, I did better than I thought I would--a B-/C+. Hey, I'm getting an A in that class so far, so I'm not worried. Besides, the final is going to be on three plays that I already know: Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth (my favorite Shakespearean play EVAR), and Hamlet. I think I'll do better on that one.
I've not been feeling very well lately. I actually skipped my computer science lab yesterday in favor of lying on my bed in the fetal position for four hours. Fun times, fun times. Fortunately, I seem to be getting over whatever's going around. I'm beginning to think I should've taken advantage of the free flu shots they were doing at the campus health center.
Fanfic updates: I should have part 12 of "Confused Memories" up by Thursday at the latest. It's going a way that I didn't expect, and I would like to take some time to replot my... well, my plot.
I have the feeling I should study more often. I very rarely study--well, I do my homework, of course, and there are the obligatory cram sessions before exams, but other than that, I dislike regular studying. I do enough while I do my homework--it usually takes me two hours to finish calculus. That is, if I don't say, "Screw it," and quit halfway through.
*sigh* I still have a free write to finish. It only has to be a page, and it can be on whatever we want, so I'm thinking I can use that time to work on "Confused Memories". Hey, why not? She didn't say it had to be school-related. She said 'anything'.
Perhaps I should stop before I keep rambling for an hour. G'night, everyone.
