House/Cameron (by andrea_ms)

FF: Role Reversal (1/1)

Title: Role Reversal

Author: raindroproses

Rating: PG/K+
Category: General
Pairing: House/Cameron (friendship)

Spoilers: Through "Honeymoon"

Disclaimer: Why do we need these? Everyone knows I don't own the characters.

Author's Notes: Written for paging_dr_house for the house_cameron ficathon. She wanted smut, House/Wilson interaction, and slightly tender moments with House. Unfortunately for paging_dr_house, I was a backup writer, and I don't often do smut. Also, this is my first House/Cameron fic, so it's not very romantic--I'm still trying to get a feel for the characters.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Harry Potter is OFTHEDEVILOMG!!11! Shut up, already. If you haven't read the books, then you have no idea what you're complaining about. If you're not a narrow-minded idiot, books can't hurt you.

I hate narrow-minded idiots.

I don't know whether I should be disappointed there's no good new HP fic for me to read, irritated that this means I'm re-reading a fic for the third time, or happy that there's enough good fic that I can re-read.

(Also--six more days! *squees*)

Dear fic writers:

Paragraphs are your friends. As are the innocent comma, the oft-neglected semicolon, and the exclamation point (not to be confused with 1).

It takes but two keystrokes to begin a new paragraph. Either the enter and the tab keys, or the enter key twice. Paragraphs are helpful in that they don't make my eyes cross when trying to read your fic.

As soon as I see a fic with no paragraph breaks, I hit the back button, no matter how wonderful your writing may be.

So, in closing: PARAGRAPHS. USE THEM.

Feeling helpful today,
Me.

Have you ever read a rant and gone, "Oh, crap, is that person talking about me?"

Yeah. Just had one of those moments. And you know what's odd? If the rant was a personal attack, I wouldn't mind, but it's about writing, so I'm nervous.

Huh.
