But-- but-- NO!

I haven't even seen an episode since around the beginning of season two, and I'm still in shock that they're cancelling SGA. If they destroy Atlantis in the end, I will be so pissed. Also, if the expedition is recalled and are never allowed to go back.

(My favorite genre of SGA fic is independent!Atlantis, in case you couldn't tell. *grin*)

I don't think I really mind that it's been cancelled. From what I read over at Gateworld, TPTB needed SGA to end in order to get their new baby off and running. In all honesty I think they've bitten off more than their fair share and plots are beginning to wear thin. I'm so not enjoying season 5.

Stargate, in my opinion was never really designed to have multiple spin-offs. The 'gate verse is so huge that it's worse than taking on a mountain in stubbies (short shorts), a singlet and thongs (flip-flops). Instead of creating more plot holes it would've been nice for them to go back through the entire 10 seasons of SG1 and fill in the gaping holes they left.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to meet the Furlings or discover what fate Nicholas Ballard.

A franchise like Law and Order or CSI makes sense because it's crime and there's crime wherever you go but Stargate ... I could buy Atlantis because it was well established and I probably would've bought a Stargate Othalla too. But Stargate Universe seems like a stretch and I really believe they should bow out gracefully.

Wow! That was certainly a verbose way of really saying nothing at all! *lmao*
